As New Yorkers many of us struggle with maintaining our weight, eating well and adding a daily exercise regime due to life in general. The majority is so used to juggling so many different tasks within any given day and never really have the time to fully take care of oneself so easily. How can one even find the time with work, family and friends taking up most of our energy. The problem is we can, yet look for excuses to put off for another day what can easily become a daily routine today.
Dieting and exercising aren't easy tasks, but if you focus, keep a daily journal detailing what you have eaten and done in form of exercise each day; and jot down calories, amounts, distances if the chosen exercise is jogging or walking for 15 minutes a day or cardio, then you already have one foot forward. Getting into the habit of watching what you eat is very important if you want to lose weight and keep it down, and just because you start exercising and begin eating well doesn't mean you will see quick results. Remember your body is now adjusting to a new routine, and so it will seem like its fighting you at first. The key is to never give up and always keep at it.
The goal is to continue the routine and in turn give yourself some just rewards. Treat yourself to a makeover, a new outfit or whatever you fancy. You deserve it and you can definitely feel great about having it.
I now will attach a link courtesy of everydayhealth.com that focuses on the 12 common reasons why one can't lose weight, and some which I have noted above have been addressed in detail. In addition once a week I would love to publish a piece dedicated to diet and exercising to help you along so please feel free to join and follow us on our journey to a healthier living.
